Bio

Israel McCloud is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice centers on figurative drawing and painting, exploring gesture, identity, movement, and everyday life. His work combines observation with experimentation as he continues to develop a distinct visual language.

McCloud has spent six years working professionally in the art world, including as an artist assistant to Hugo McCloud since 2020. This experience has provided him with firsthand insight into the studio process, from developing and producing artwork to preparing work for exhibitions and presentation.

Alongside his roll as an artist assistant, McCloud continues to build his own practice through consistent drawing and painting, with a focus on strengthening his understanding of the figure and developing a more personal and expressive approach to his work.
